THOUSAND ISLANDS
Thousands of islands represent an archipelago of 1,864 islands located on the border between Canada and the United States. It stretches for about 80 kilometers downstream from Kingston. Canadian islands belong to the province of Ontario, and the state of New York. The size of these 1,864 islands ranges from over 100 km² to smaller, single inhabitants, or uninhabited rocks that are the only home for migratory birds. To belong to one of the thousands of islands, the calculating island must have an area of at least one square foot (0.093 m²) on the land above the water level throughout the year, as well as a condition for at least two trees. The highway passes further from Picton to the northeast, passing along the Thousand Islands, which equally belong to Canada and the United States. The state border passes through and across the island through the middle of the water, which connects Ontario Lake to the Atlantic Ocean. The water flows from the Great Lakes, through the lakes of Erie and Ontario, still in the form of the River St. Lorenz to the Atlantic. This waterway connects Canada and the United States, through which thousands of world's ships pass through, entering the central part of the North American continent.

Of these islands, the largest island is Marysville Wolfe Island, followed by Grindstone, Wellesley, Hill Island, Grenadier Island and thousands of smaller ones, if anybody knows their exact number. From the bridge leading from the Canadian forest side, not far from the village of Ivy Lea, it passes through the narrowed part of the lake water, relatively high, allowing passers-by a fantastic view on both sides, and touching the Hill Island, and then on the Wellesley Island and enter the customs zone on the side of the United States. The view from that high bridge looks almost like from the sky or from a fairy tale.On each island cottages and castles are built. Owners can only come to their homes with boats.By boat, it passes by a castle, for which a tour guide says that the owner of the castle made his house a mere ten-twenty meters from his castle, but she did not know how to swim, and she did not have a boat depending on her lover when will allow her to leave the house. At the end of the 19th and early 20th centuries, many prominent owners made this region, known as the resort of several grand hotels, for luxury accommodation, while steamers offer comfortable tours among the islands. Owners from the rich and middle class built summer houses some even built "castles" that remain as international sites.Thousands of islands are a corridor for nature lovers, and both Ontario and New York have government regulations for parks along the waterfront. Canada has a biking and walking trail along the water for all those who enjoy spending free time by the water. This river, which forms the border between Canada and the United States along its entire length, does not separate countries and peoples; it truly unites these two nations, which live in harmony and cooperation.
