“Path of Light” Night in Studenica Shadows from an old lampCascade across the work tableOn it,I sketch your face. I pray for peace,Strength, and courageTo reflect youBeyond myself. To see you even when you're not there,To find you even when you're not there.
Morning in Studenica Beneath the Studenica arch,In an even more golden morning,My sinful thoughts—That tread upon this marble. They tell me nothing.Their route is unknown to me,Which utterly drives me mad. Thoughts hide. One behind the otherIn an endlessly dear order, andThey listen to the song. It isn't the scent of frankincense,Nor is it light singing from the dome,Angels also remain silent. The song reveals itself to me through images.I saw how a jay celebrates,Impious and stingy beak but a heavenly voice. The touch of worlds.
Hand of salvation
(...) and come to save us.Lord, turn to us,and reveal the light of Your face, and we shall be saved.Lord God of hosts, how long will You be angry with the prayer of Your servant? Will You feed us with the bread of tearsand make us drink tears in abundance?(...) You brought a vine out of Egypt,You drove out the nations and planted it;You cleared the ground for it,and it took deep root and filled the land. The mountains were covered with its shade, the mighty cedars with its branches;it sent out its branches to the seaand its shoots to the River.(...) and the wild boar of the forest devours it.God of hosts, turn again, look down from heaven and see;visit this vine, and protect what Your right hand planted;(...) And we shall not turn back from You;You will revive us, and we will call on Your name.Lord God of hosts, turn to us,and reveal the light of Your face, and we shall be saved.
